Lobelia cardinalis 'Wavy' is a selection of the Cardinal Flower with wavy leaves. It is quite new and rather rarely available in trade. While its leaf size is comparable with that of normal Lobelia cardinalis, it features a very bushy growth in its underwater form.

Used as aquarium plant, the Cardinal Flower is quite undemanding and also grows in cold water tanks, however it needs at least medium lighting and a free, well lit place. It can be propagated by cuttings, as well as other stem plants. Trimming of the main shoot also enhances the growth of many side shoots.

Lobelia cardinalis 'Wavy' looks best in dense groups. Also single, well ramified plants are decorative.
